A new report shows that the number of offenses committed against teachers in elementary, middle and high schools in Busan has been steadily decreasing each year.
According to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, the number of cases including verbal abuse, classroom disruptions, violence and sexual harassment totaled 578 in 2012.
The figure represents a decrease of 110 cases from the first semester of the current academic year.
A total of 322 cases in 2013 and 213 cases in 2014 were reported.
There were 30 cases dealing with violence in 2012 but the number dropped to just 3 last year, with only one case reported so far this year.
