BUSAN, South Korea – The KT Sonic Boom won their second consecutive game and had their highest offensive output of the season with an 88-75 victory over the LG Sakers Saturday afternoon.
KT's veterans stepped up, led by Cho Dong-hyun and Cho Sung-min's 17 points, while ex-LG Saker Seo Jang-hoon dropped 14 on his old club. Forward Jasper Johnson chipped in 13 points with five rebounds and four assists.
After a sluggish first quarter which KT led 16-13, KT went on the offensive and scored 26 points each in the second and third, building up a 13 point lead. LG's Kim Young-hwan hit a three with 1:34 left in the third to cut the lead to 64-55, but KT rebounded to go on a 10-3 run to put the game out of reach.
KT finished shooting 56% from the field, including 9-16 from 3-point range, and 19 of 20 from the free throw line, while LG shot 49% from the field and 12/17 from the line.
Ira Clark led all scorers with 18 points, while Rod Benson scored six, with seven rebounds and four assists.
KT import Bryan Davis played a very effective 17 minutes, scoring five points, while adding three assists and two blocks.
