Busan International Rock Fest Underway Today

The 15th Busan International Rock Festival will raise its curtain at 4 p.m. today at Samrak Ecological Park in Sasang-gu.

In total 21 bands including two foreign bands and 19 domestic bands will participate in the event to be held until the 17th for three days. 

The rock festival was postponed for over a week due to typhoon Halong, will see popular rock bands SMZB from China, NYF from Japan and Jeon In-gwan Band, Shin Jong-hyun, Pia and DICKPUNKS perform on stage. 


Four Foreign Bands Drop Out of Rock Festival

As the Busan International Rock Festival was postponed for a week because of the typhoon, the number of participants has dropped slightly. 

An official of Busan city said six foreign acts were scheduled and 17 local acts would participate in the festival at first, but because of the change of the festivals schedule by the typhoon, a few bands are now unable to take part in the festival.

Busan International Rock Festival Postponed Until August 15th

As the 11th typhoon 'Halong' is expected to arrive in the Korean peninsula, the Busan International Rock Festival will be delayed. The festival's organization committee announced it will be delayed a week as the typhoon approaches. 

The rock festival has been rescheduled to August 15th for a three day run at Samnak Eco Park.

Violinest Yoo-jin Park to Perform at BOMA

The Busan Museum of Art will hold a 'Lobby Concert' on the 26th of June. The concert has invited noted electric violinist Yoo-jin Park to give a performance.
