Suspended Olympic Badminton Champion Reinstated

BUSAN, South Korea – Olympic badminton champion Lee Yong-dae, suspended earlier for failing to follow anti-doping protocol, has been reinstated, officials here said today, a dramatic turn of events that allows the shuttler to compete at this year’s Asian Games on home soil.

Shin Geh-ryuen, head of the Badminton Korea Association (BKA), announced at a press conference that one-year suspensions imposed earlier on Lee and a second South Korean player, Kim Ki-jung, have been lifted.
