SEOUL, South Korea – Starting tomorrow, the Korean megastore E Mart will start selling TVs at reduced prices of 40% from other stores around the country.
The retailer will start selling their own brand of TV "Dream View" at high discount prices. A 32-inch LED TV will priced at 499,000 won, much cheaper than a Samsung or LG for the same product.
“Our price is the honest price,” said an E-Mart official. “We think the prices of Korean TVs will have to be adjusted [after this].”
The move comes after other retail giants Lotte Mart and Home Plus also rolled out cheaper TVs under their own brand this summer.
