Quentin Tarantino to Make an Appearance at BIFF

In a late minute surprise to the festival, Quentin Tarantino who received several US and British Academy Awards this year with his Django Unchained (2012) will be visiting Busan International Film Festival. During his visit, his first to BIFF, he is planning to hold an Open Talk session with Korean Director Bong Joon Ho. The Open Talk will be held on Friday, October 11 at 17:00. The venue has yet to be determined.

Born in Tennessee, USA, Quentin Tarantino is a director, actor, producer and a writer. In 1992, as a young director, Tarantino received the International Critics€™ Award (FIPRESCI) at Toronto International Film Festival with Reservoir Dogs (1992) and the Palme d’Or in 1994 with Pulp Fiction (1994). Since then he directed numerous films, notably Kill Bill 1 (2003), Kill Bill 2 (2004), Inglorious Bastards (2009) and Django Unchained (2012).
