BUSAN, South Korea – Busan Nakdong River Project Executive Office has opened a children’s outdoor swimming pool (water depth: 55 – 70cm) at Samrak Waterfront Park, Sasang-gu. Besides the children’s swimming pool, the park also has various family entertainment facilities such as an inline skating track, and a bike rental facility.
The outdoor pool opened for the summer season on July 14 and will remain open till August 31, 2011. It is free of charge. The pool opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
On August 1, a public outdoor swimming pool will open at Hwamyeong Waterfront Park, Buk-gu as well. The outdoor swimming pool facility has a 2,500 square-meter adult-only pool, a 300 square-meter children-only pool and convenience facilities. The outdoor pool will be open from August 1 through August 25. The pool hours are from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and the price is 4,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for youths and 2,000 won for children.
The wearing of a swimsuit and a swimming cap in the pool is compulsory and parents must accompany their children in the water.
Anyone attending the Opening Ceremony of the outdoor swimming pool at 11 a.m. on August 1 can use the pool free of charge on that day.
