BUSAN, South Korea – A public outdoor swimming pool will open at Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Deokcheon-dong, Buk-gu from June 27 through August 26. The 10,000 square meter facility will be operated by the Busan Nakdong River Project Executive Office.
There is a 2,500 square-meter adult-only pool, a 300 square-meter children-only pool and convenience facilities including changing rooms, parasols, restrooms, lockers, shaded areas and a medical room for swimmers’ safety.
The wearing of a swimsuit and a swimming cap in the pool is compulsory and parents must accompany their children in the water.
Opening hours are from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and the price is 4,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for youths and 2,000 won for children.
How to get there: Take Metro Line No. 2 to Sujeong Station then leave by Exit No. 3, or take Bus No. 15, 59, 111, 121 or 126 and get off at Sujeong Station.
