The 20th Busan International Film Festival announced the jury for this year’s Actor & Actress of the Year award: Park Joong-Hoon and Moon So-ri.
The Actor & Actress of the Year award is an effort to focus more attention on actors and actresses. One renowned Korean actor and actress each select an actor and an actress from the films presented in the New Currents and Korean Cinema Today-Vision sections.
This year’s Actor and Actress of the Year jurors include Park Joong-Hoon, a long-loved actor and director of Top Star, and Moon So-ri, who won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Young Actress with Oasis at the 2002 Venice Film Festival in addition to other impressive performances in various films.
Last year awardees included Choi Woo-shik (Set Me Free) and Cho Soohyang (Wild Flowers). Other actors including Ha Jungwoo (The Unforgiven), Lee Je-hoon (Bleak Night), Chun Woo-hee (HAN GONG-JU), and Byun Yohan (Socialphobia) have also rose to the scene at the Busan International Film Festival.
The Actor and Actress of the Year will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival on October 10, 2015.
The winner will each receive 5,000,000 KRW.
