BUSAN, South Korea -- A study shows that the number of summer vacationers to visit the seven beaches of Busan was over 40 million people this year. 

According to the city of Busan, in total 40,167,000 people flocked to the seven beaches in the city, an increase by 1.5 percent, or 4,149,800 people, compared to 36,017,200 last year. It is the second time that the number of summer vacationers to visit Busan beaches is over 40 million in history. 

The number almost reached the 2007 number of 41,317,000 tpeople, the highest record in history. 

Specifically, 15,763,000 people, the largest number in history visited Haeundae Beach, while 9,949,000 people visited Gwangalli Beach this summer.
