BUSAN, South Korea — Beginning Thursday October 10 and running through Saturday is one of Busan’s funnest celebrations of the year: The Hurshimchung Oktoberfest. The celebration of German food, beer, music and revelry will take over the Nongshim Hotel at its brewing facilities, Hurshimchung Brau and if you are one of the few who missed it last year, you don’t want to miss it again.
Live bands playing traditional German music, drinking contests, accordion performances, a photo and game zone and several prize drawing will all add to the excitement, which will re-create the atmosphere which traditionally runs annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany from late September through the first week of October.
A 10,000-won ticket gets you a 500cc beer mug and one glass of brewed beer. Those who purchase the festival mug can enjoy brewed beer for only 3,000 won per mug, which is brewed on-site by an expert brewmaster who honed his brewing skills in Germany.
About Hurshimchung Brau
Hurshimchung is a giant brewpub located at the Nongshim Hotel that features micro-brewed German-style beers. The menu features a wide selection of different foods and there is a large stage for live music as well as a dance floor.
