The city of Busan is receiving backlash from both local residents and civil servants over its decision to abolish the 60-minute free parking in parking lots at public institutions in order to promote the use of public transportation.
Due to the new regulations, citizens will now have to pay 300 won per 10 minutes of parking when they visit public institutions and use their parking lots.
Changes have also been made to the use of cars for civil servants, who now have to choose two days per week not to take their cars to work from the current one day a week.
