A new study shows that the number of passengers using the Busan metro last year was in total 324.89 million people and the daily average was up to 890,000 people.
Compared with the previous year, this year has seen a jump of 22,000 people a day on average and an increase of 8.12 million people for the year. The number of passengers has continued to increase for the 7th consecutive year.
The station with the highest growth rate of passengers was Busan National University station where new apartment complexes were built in succession, and the station with the largest number of passengers was Seomyeon station on Line 1.
