BUSAN, South Korea — It’s not often that big international acts come to Busan, but three-time Grammy Award-winners Maroon 5 will stop into the city for a second time this year on September 14 as part of the Hyundai Card Super Concert series. Featuring songs from their fourth studio album, Overexposed, and past hits, the Los Angeles-based band will also play in Seoul on the 15th at Jamsil Sports Complex.
Maroon 5 is making their third stop into Korea, their first being back in Seoul in 2008, and after a very successful concert in May they have decided to return to Busan. The Los Angeles rock band is a three-time Grammy award-winning band with such hits as "She Will Be Loved", "Won’t Go Home Without You”, and, more recently, "Misery", and has has sold some 15 million records worldwide since their debut in 2002. Their most recent hit, “Payphone”, reached number one in the UK and second on the US charts.
Opening for Maroon 5 is The Cab, an alternative band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The Cab funded the last album Symphony Soldier by themselves and were also named “100 Bands You Need To Know” in 2010 by Alternative Press. AbsolutePunk gave an extremely positive review with a rating of 95 percent, calling the album a "masterpiece".
The bands will perform at the Busan Sports Complex in Sajik-dong starting at 7:30 p.m.
