BUSAN, South Korea - The BFIA will hold a training session from June 22 to 29, inviting maritime officials from 10 of Busan's sister cities, including Shanghai, Surabaya, Dubai, and Auckland. The training program that will take place in the Institute of APEC Collaborative Education will be conducted in English, and it will comprise a special lecture, case studies, and a workshop focusing on Busan's maritime policies. Meanwhile, participants will also visit the 'Yeosu Expo' that is being held during the training session period, and have a chance to better understand the world's current maritime environment. This training program for sister city officials started in 2009, and is being extended across various fields such as IT, film and port-related fields. It is also playing an important role in promoting Busan and exchange activities with our sister cities.
