SONPUB has played with everyone from that polite guy from the Grammy's, Kanye West, to Lupe Fiasco. Now he is bringing it to Busan with other acts on the Tokyo Underground Korean tour.

BUSAN, South Korea - The Tokyo Underground party series is making its way to Busan this Saturday night, featuring one of Japan's most accomplished electronic music producers and DJ, SONPUB.

In its third edition, Tokyo Underground will be making stops in Seoul and Daegu on May 27th and 28th before the big Saturday night position in Busan at Club Womb. The event has previously enjoyed huge success in Seoul, with Club Mansion and Hive playing host to the first two rounds in 2009.

SONPUB made his name in releasing two critically acclaimed solo albums, the most recent "80 T.O 08 HAHA" -- named as one of the top 10 electronic albums of 2008 by iTunes. Sharing the stage with big international names like Kanye West, A-Trak, and Lupe Fiasco, Sonpub was also the opening act for Daft Punk during their ALIVE 2007 world tour. His work landed him a deal with BAPE Sounds in Japan and he later went on to start the "Phoenix Players" umbrella as a base for all his work. His live sets include a wide variety of influences and sounds from hip-hop to electro house to B-more and more. A regular at the original WOMB and Le Baron de Paris clubs in Tokyo, SONPUB is sure to put on a good show.

Sharing the stage with Sonpub are MC Wise and DJ Mass, both veterans of the Japanese club scene. MC Wise is a member of the Teriyaki Boyz, one of the biggest hip hop groups in the country whose members include Verbal and BAPE founder Nigo. DJ Mass is also a respected turntablist and producer, known for blending hiphop, breakbeats, and electronic experimentalism into an always entertaining set.

Tokyo Underground is hosted by the Better Magic crew of event planners, DJs, and visual artists, who are based in Busan. The group is hoping to increase the popularity of Busan's electronic music and dance scene by creating and hosting events at various venues across the city. As DJs, they're "known for their globetrotting sets, where cumbia, baile funk, dancehall and electro get ass naked and sweaty together in a mess of tropical bass." Sounds like fun.

And as always, Ruby Clicks will be on call documenting the night with her talented photography.

Tickets are available at the door for 10 000W before midnight and for 15 000W afterwards, both with a free drink. Club Womb is located in Gwangali at the main intersection, just say 'Gwangali Lotteria' to get there via taxi.
