Lufthansa Stops Service from Gimhae Airport

BUSAN, South Korea — Lufthansa Airlines’ Munich-Busan route (via Incheon), the only European route that runs through Busan, will stop operating today. This was the seventh year of its flight service since its launch in March of 2007.

Lufthansa Airlines has ended the operation of the connecting flight between Busan and Incheon, but plans to continue the service between Munich and Incheon.

The closing of this route was the only possible way to fly to Europe without a transfer in a single plane from Gimhae airport. They had previosuly suspended service to the airport in December.
