Lotte – Corey out, Bootcheck in

BUSAN – As expected, Bryan Corey was released earlier this week by Lotte. Corey was used all over the place in the pitching staff this season, getting away from his previous short relief or closing career.
Corey had a 3-3 record with a 4.23 ERA in 25 games this season.
Lotte has decided to replace him with Christ Bootcheck, another American journeyman who had a short career in the Majors. Bootcheck, 32, played briefly for three season for the Los Angeles Angels, as well as a short stint for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a career 3-7 record with a 6.04 ERA.
The 6'5 right-hander last pitched for Yokohama in the Japanese League, where he had a 1-0 record in 15 games.
