BUSAN – Lotte Giants slugger Lee Dae-ho has a decision to make.
The Lotte Giants 1st baseman leads the Korean Baseball Organizations list of free agents this year, and he is being courted not only by the Giants, but by teams in Japan as well.
The 29-year-old has been with the club for 10 years, though last year lost salary arbritration after winning the MVP award, which did not sit well, considering his statistics and draw as a player. Lee finished 4th in MVP voting this year.
Lee is being courted by the Orix Buffaloes of Japan, who have reportedly offered a two-year contract for 7.2 billion won. Orix has also previously signed Koreans Lee Seung-yup and Park Chan-ho. Lotte Chiba has also been mentioned as a possible stop for Lee.
With the Giants set to lose ace pitcher Jang Won-joon to the army, Lee's re-signing is a top priority for Lotte.
