Where to Lace Up The Skates in Busan

In winter, ice skating and sledding can actually make you feel that the best sports and outdoor activities can be had when it’s cold outside. Following is a list of the ice rinks that allow visitors to enjoy winter at reasonable prices.

Buk-Gu Cultural & ICE Center

The Buk-Gu Cultural & ICE Center is located at Dukcheon Park in the Buk District, Dukcheon-dong. The 1,818-square-meter rink can accommodate 400 people at a time. It qualifies as an international-size rink. It also features up-to-date facilities such as a stands and lockers. There also has a historical exhibition area and cultural arts center. The entrance fee is 5,000 won ($4) for children, 5,500 won for teenagers and 6,000 won for adults. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Dongnae Ice Rink

The Dongnae Ice Rink is on the sixth floor of the Anlak Town building in Dongnae District, Anlak-dong. It is famous for its high-quality offerings and teaching staff. The rink operates an ice-resurfacing machine four times a day, ensuring a smooth surface. There are various skating classes for children and adults. Admission is 6,000 won for children and 7,000 won for teenagers and adults. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Yeongdo Cultural Ice Rink

This rink is located on the fifth floor of the Hanna Tower building, across from the Dongsam Market in Yeongdo District, Dongsam-dong. The rink is 1,532 square meters and can easily hold as many as 400 skaters at once. Admission for children runs 6,000 won, while the price for teenagers and adults is 7,000 won. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Geukdong Leports Town Ice Rink

The Geukdong Leports Town Ice Rink in Suyeong District, Namcheon 1-dong is the most famous ice rink in Gwangalli. Measuring 1,322 square meters, the ice rink specializes in providing skating classes for beginners. Admission is 6,000 won for students and 7,000 won for adults.  It’s open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wuchang Sportrink

The ice rink located in Haeundae District, Jwa-dong is about 1,454 square meters and is open all year. Admission is 6,000 won for children and 7,000 won for adults and teenagers. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Shinsegae Centum City Ice Rink  

The ice rink at the Shinsegae Centum City is the only place in Busan where you can enjoy shopping and ice skating in one place.

The 1,123-square-meter ice rink can accommodate up to 500 people at once and has a semi-circle glass dome ceiling. Admission is 10,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for children 8,000.

It’s open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The rink is closed on store holidays.
