The KT Sonic Boom opened their 2014/15 season splitting their opening two games, easily winning the opener while looking tired and slow in a loss to Incheon ET Land Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday, Tony Akins and Charles Rhodes combined for 38 points as KT easily won their season opener 87-68 over Anyang KGC. KT blew the doors open in the second half scoring 51 points after only leading 36-33 at the half. Akins led all scorers with 20 points, while Rhodes making his return to KT added 18 points and 9 rebounds.
On Sunday, Incheon built a 16 point lead after three quarters and held on to defeat KT 67-60 at the Olleh Victorium. Jung Young-sam dominated the Sonic Boom with 29 points, while Charles Rhodes led KT with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Marcus Lewis and Song Young-jin each chipped in 10 points in the loss.
KT head to Changwon Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip-off versus LG.
