The top 50 restaurants in the country have been released by KOREAT, a new committee of the country’s top authorities on food and fine dining.

If you’re looking to experience the best restaurants the country has to offer, you best head up to the nation’s capital.

KOREAT, the nation’s first authoritative ranking of restaurants in the country, released its first ranking of Korea’s top restaurants with all but one residing in Seoul.

Busan’s French restaurant Merciel was the only exception to crack the list.

The top restaurants include 15 French, nine modern Korean, seven Japanese and Italian, five Korean, two dessert-themed and Chinese, with one Thai, Chinese, and European-themed restaurants in addition to one bar completing the list.

You can check out the list on the website www.kor-eat.com though the list is currently only in Korean. English and Chinese translations on the site have yet to be completed.
