Korean Soccer team advance to Final Four

The national soccer team defeated Iran on the weekend 1-0 at the Qatar Sports Club Stadium in Doha to advance to the final four of the 2011 Asian Football Championships. Substitute Yoon Bitgaram scored in the 107th minute to seal the win for Korea.

With the win, they now will face long-time nemesis Japan on Tuesday night, with kickoff around 10:25 p.m. local time. You can catch the AFC tournament on SBS ESPN and MBC Sports in Korean, or in English on Star Sports TV.

The winner of this will head into the final versus the winner of Uzbekistan and Australia. South Korea is seeking its first Asian Cup title since 1960.

Date Partner Site Busted

More than ten men and women were arrested in Busan last week, for trading sex through a website. One of the women was meeting the men at a motel in Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, since September.

Nine men were arrested, having allegedly paid between 100,000 won and 150,000 won for the ‘services’ of the 25-year-old woman. The male sex buyers were all in the 30s and 40s, married, and all of them are self-employed or office workers, according to the police in Kijang.

I think it’s safe to assume the wives of the men were not amused of their arrests.

Sonic Boom Keep Rolling

The KT Sonic Boom capped off another successful week on Sunday with a 77-68 win over Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan. They were led by 17 points from Cho Dong-hyun.

Last Friday night, Jasper Johnson was at it again as he hit six 3 pointers for a total of 33 points, in KT’s huge 82-69 win over second place Incheon ET Land. Park Sang-oh added 19 and Cho Sung-min scored 15 for the winners.

The lone black mark for the week was a 83-68 loss to Seoul Samsung on Tuesday. Charles Rhodes scored 26 and had six rebounds in the losing effort.

KT finishes the week in first place with a 26-9 record, with a three game lead over second place Incheon.
