BUSAN - KT Sonic Boom had five players in double figures and had their biggest offensive output of the season, defeating Goyang Orions at home 95-82 Sunday evening at the Busan Indoor Gymnasium.
Kim Do-soo led the KT attack with 22 points, while Charles Rhodes added 15 points and 12 assists.
Goyang started the game quickly, hitting their first four shots before going over three minutes without scoring, allowing KT to go on a 8-0 run. Seo Young-Jin was the story of the first quarter, scoring 11 of KT's 23 points, giving them a 23-20 lead after the first.
KT opened the second quarter on a 8-3 run to build up an eight point lead, as Goyang didn't score a basket in the opening 3 minutes. Goyang cut the lead to two, led by Hur Il-young and Kim Min-sub, but Cho Sung-min's four points to end the quarter gave KT a 49-42 halftime lead.
KT jumped out to an 8-2 run to start the third, and controlled the tempo for most of the third, building up a 14 point advantage.
Goyang fought back to start the fourth, going on a 10-0 run to cut the lead to three. But KT regrouped and went on to outscore Goyang 25-13 the remainder of the game to win their 10th game of the season.
