KBO Says Leave the Booze at Home

By  |  0 Comments

As part of the Korean Baseball Organization’s “B Safe Campaign”, fans will no longer be able to bring in outside alcohol into the leagues stadiums beginning this year.

“People will not be allowed to bring alcohol drinks in cans or glass bottles into the stadium from the outside. Paper cups or bottles less than one liter will be on sale at the ball park,” a KBO official said.

The ban includes alcohol in cans, glass bottles and plastic bottles over one liter, which includes soju, or bringing ice boxes into the stadium.

Alcohol will be sold within the stadiums, with safety officers placed around the stadiums checking for those violating the new rules. If caught with outside alcohol, violators will be asked to leave the stadium and may be banned from attending future games.

The KBO gets underway this Saturday with all 10 teams, including the new KT Wiz, in action. The regular season runs for 144 games.
