Charles Rhodes has re-signed with the KT Sonic Boom last week for the 2011/12 season according to Kevin Campigotto at Asia-Basket.com. His contract will be for $300,000.
Rhodes signing was the result of a strong second half of the season, in which starter Jasper Johnson suffered a season-ending injury which forced Rhodes into a more prominent role, in which he flourished. He averaged 16 points, 6.4 rebounds and a block per game, while in the playoffs as a starter, he averaged 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal in four games.
Team officials were impressed with Rhodes' athleticism and ability to remain healthy, qualities which helped their decision to re-sign him. Rhodes is currently in the U.S. preparing for the upcoming season.
The KT Sonic Boom won a league-record 41 games last season, though fell in the semi-finals to Wonju three games to one.
