BUSAN, South Korea – The Busan IPark have extended their winning streak to three games, while remaining undefeated in seven as the defeated Gyeongnam FC 1-0 Saturday afternoon at the Busan Asiad World Cup Stadium.
Bang Seung-hwan's 38th minute goal gave the IPark all the offense the needed, as they dominated the pitch for most of the match. The IPark dodged a bullet when Gyeongnam had a chance to equalize, but Busan keeper Jeon Sang-wook stopped a penalty kick to preserve the win. Gyeongnam rarely tested keeper Jeon Sang-wook during the game, managing to register eight shots, compared to Busan's nine.
Matt McKay continued his impressive form, notching his third helper in the past two games.
The IPark have now won five games and have drawn twice in the past seven games. They are currently fifth in the standings with 19 points.
