SUWON, South Korea – The Busan I'Park season came to an end yesterday, following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of fourth place Suwon.
The I'Park had been successful against the Blue Wings this year, but failed yesterday to advance to the semi-finals.
Ha Tae-kyun's goal during extra time in the first half was the difference, as Suwon outplayed the I'Park for most of the game. Suwon outshot Busan 12-6, while the I'Park committed 22 fouls in what was not their best form of the season.
The I'Park can feel proud however, to relish the improvement over last season under first year coach Ahn Ik-soo. The six busloads of Busan fans went home disappointed in the result, but were happy with the progression of the team this season.
