Jinhae Naval Port Festival Begins its 10 Day Run

BUSAN, South Korea – The Jinhae Naval Port Festival, the national cherry blossom festival, has begun its 10 day run.

Organizers are always worried about the timing of the festival due to the uncertainty of when the blossoms will bloom. However, the cherry blossoms are on schedule to bloom at the right time this year.

90 percent of 360 thousand cherry blossoms in Jinhae have bloomed and are expected to reach their peak between April 4th and 6th.

During the festival, the local circular train operates a cherry-blossom tour and the Jinhae Navy Command Center and the Naval Academy are opened to the public
