IPark – Player Profile: Lee Bum-young
DOB: 2 April 1989
Height: 1.94 m
Years Pro: 4
Lee Bum-young is in his fourth season with the Busan IPark. He’s started five games this year, and 33 for his young career. Though he’s had a bit of a rough go this season, allowing 13 goals, he has the skills to improve and to help the IPark to climb the tables this season.
We gave him a few questions about the season thus far.
About IPark’s New Style:
The training schedule is less intensive, which means we have more time to learn technique than physical training.
About Coach Ahn’s New Style of Coaching:
The changes are for the better. The players have more personal time and better facilities. The players had hoped for more personal time than last year. But, we use that time to focus more on our play.
What he thinks about the new changes at IPark this year:
I think it’s not a modernized style, but it’s improving. Of course, I’m very satisfied with the changes, it’s more about technique.
What he does in his free time:
Players re-energize more than party. I’m the same. The coach makes a clear line of what they can and can’t go over.
Goals for the Future:
I want to be the Captain of the Olympic National Team. And of course, I want my team to win!
