BUSAN, South Korea — A fire broke out at the Busan Haeundae Riviera Hotel, on the sixth floor at 3:30am today.
Rescuers put the blaze out in one hour. However, the children’s department and the computer room were damaged significantly. Smoke, including toxic gas, spread to the ninth floor, where there are hotel rooms.
68 guests were in the hotel when the fire broke out.
42 guests, including five Chinese tourists, inhaled smoke and were taken to hospital for treatment.
