Heavy Rains Hit Busan Overnight

BUSAN, South Korea — Busan saw 88 millimeters of rain last night which continued until early morning hours today. This led to a heavy rain warning by the Busan Regional Meteorological Administration in Busan and Gimhae, Gyeongnam at 4:30 a.m. At the rain’s peak, Busan saw 22.5 millimeters per hour.

The rain began easing at 6 a.m. The meteorological administration lifted the heavy rain warning at 7 a.m, however, strong winds have led to a high seas watch east of southern seas.

Skies will be cloudy in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam but will clear up throughout the afternoon. Strong winds along the coastal areas and the inland areas so residents should take precautions on their morning commutes while fine dust concentration level will be ‘Normal.’
Waves will rise from 2 to 6 meters in the seas.

The day time high will be 24 degrees Celsius.
