Heavy Rain Forecasted in the Region Until Tomorrow Afternoon

BUSAN, South Korea —  Up to 70 millimeters of rain and strong winds hit the Busan and Gyeongnam region today, with 20 millimeters per hour around the southern coast, including Jiri and Gaji Mountain this afternoon. Residents are advised to take precautions against potential damages to facilities.

Strong winds, high waves and rain also effectively halted search operations today for more than 100 passengers still missing from the deadly ferry disaster two weeks ago.

Tomorrow’s weather will be rainy in the morning before clearing up in the afternoon. Fine dust levels in Busan are good.

The morning low will be 14 degrees in Busan and Changwon, and 13 in Ulsan, while the high will be 18 in Busan and Ulsan.
