BUSAN, South Korea – The heat wave continues to bake citizens in Busan and across the country. An official of the Busan weather agency stated that last night’s temperature was 25.4 degrees meaning that tropical nights have continued in Busan for four straight days, starting on the 2nd.
It is expected that the tropical nights will continue until this weekend and a sleepless week could be in store for most of us. If the temperature at night is over twenty-five degrees, it is classified as a ‘tropical night’.
For the past ten years, the first time that the ‘tropical night’ appeared on average has been the 26th of July. This year, the first tropical night came 13 days earlier, on the thirteenth.
The high temperature yesterday, which was announced by the heat wave warning, was 34.3 degrees Celcius (94’F), the highest temperature so far this summer.
There will be no news of rain until the middle of next week. It is expected that this heat will continue.
