BUSAN, South Korea – June has begun and with it brings a jam-packed weekend of activities. There is something for everyone’s tastes, including a lot of festivals, sports, the arts and of course, music.
If you haven’t been yet, Sunday also marks the last day of the Busan International Motor Show, which is your last chance for two years as the show moves to Seoul next year.

Busan International Dance Festival - Running from today through the fifth, the 8th BIFD brings with it a fun experience to watch some of the best dancers around strutting their stuff on the beach. Friday through Tuesday, Haeundae Beach, Busan Cultural Center, Gwangalli Beach
Baseball – The Giants are in town over the weekend for a three games series with surprise team of the year Nexen. Friday through Sunday, Sajik Stadium, Sajik-dong
River Sports Festival – The River Sports Festival features the best in aquatic sports, and takes place on the rivers around the city through June 10th. Friday through June 10, West Nakdong River, Nakdong River, Suyeong River
Haeundae Sand Festival – Under this year’s theme “See Sand, Feel Sand, Enjoy Sand,” head on out to Korea’s busiest beach to check out one of Haeundae’s biggest events of the summer. Friday through Monday, Haeundae Beach
Busan Port Festival – Not to be outdone, the Busan Port Festival on Yeong-do Island is also a great place to spend an afternoon. A Busan Port Concert, Busan Port Tour, Busan Port Family Walking Festival, Navy Open Day, Non-Verbal performance 'Bibimbap', Busan International Hip Hop Preliminary Competition, and a Busan Port and Lighthouse photo exhibition are just some of the things going on. European Friendship Day – The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (EUCCK) will hold “European Friendship Day”, celebrating the 14th year of opening of EUCCK Busan Office at Busan Yachting Center. There are many gifts to be won, and various programs for you to enjoy including gourmet stands, sailors bar and flight tickets to Hong Kong and Europe! Suyeong Traditional Folk Festival – Hosted by the Suyeong Folklore Conservation Association, get a glimpse of some traditional Korean culture and folklore at the Suyeong Traditional Folk Festival. Shakespeare in the Park – Join Shakespeare in Busan June 2, 3, 9, and 10th at the picturesque Dalmaji outdoor amphitheater for one of Shakespeare's funniest and most romantic plays, "Much Ado About Nothing."
