BUSAN, South Korea  -- Haeundae Beach turned into a mass of people this weekend, with the region attracting 1.65 million visitors from Friday through Sunday.

Sunday saw the highest number of visitors at 750,000, while Saturday drew 650,000 and Friday 350,000 people, many of those who came to the Haeundae Sand Festival, which also included the Air Show and the Fringe music festival.

Gwangan-li, Songdo and Songjeong were also busy places around the city as well, attracting between 15-25,000 visitors each over the weekend as well.
