BUSAN, South Korea -- Haundae-gu's beach measured at 72 meters on average, according to a report released by the Busan Regional Maritime Affairs, the Port Office and Haeundae-gu. The measurements were taken February eleventh. 

The average width doubled from 36 meters during February of last year. 

The narrowest point was at Busan West, at Chosun Hotel, which was 46 meters. The widest point was in front of the Haeundae Tourism Service Center, which was 87 meters. 

The governments want to restore the Haeundae Beach to what it was 70 years ago, by adding 186 cubic meters of sand to the beach. The project should cost investing 6.5 billion won.
