BUSAN, South Korea -- Gyeongnam Sacheon Airport received foreign tourists for the first time in forty-eight years after the opening of the airport near Jinju yesterday.

One-hundred-forty-nine Chinese tourists arrived at Sacheon Airport with the aircraft of China Southern Air yesterday (28) morning. 

They are planning to leave for China from Sacheon Airport after looking around the tourist attractions of Gyeongnam including Jinju, Changwon and Tongyeong and touring Seoul.

The airport passenger service began in 1977 after years of delays. The airport has a small single story terminal building for domestic flights within South Korea.
