BERN, Switzerland - Defending World Cup champions Spain easily handled South Korea 4 -1 in a friendly in Switzerland Wednesday, as both teams are preparing for major matches in the coming weeks.

Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, from the penalty spot, Santi Cazorla and Alvaro Negredo all found the net for Spain, who are peaking just in time for Euro 2012.

Kim Do-heon scored Korea's lone goal in the 43rd minute.

South Korea will next travel to Doha to take on Qatar in a World Cup 2014 qualifying match.
