Canada Day Festival: Live Music & Brian Aylward!
On Saturday, June 30th, from 1-6pm, the 2nd Annual Dalmaji Outdoor Canada Day Music Festival will be held at Dalmaji Eoulmadang (달맞이 어울마당). It's the same place as the Shakespeare performances. The Madang is across from the Alexander Shikdang (Restaurant) on Dalmaji Hill in Haeundae. Take a taxi from Haeundae or Jangsan to Alexander Shikdang.
Started at gunpoint in 2011 by touring Canadian rapper RCMP Diddy, this place has everything: maple syrup, Americans, hand soap, people you've never seen in sunlight, a mountie, and a human hockey puck. You know, it's that thing...
Local Canadian musician and festival organizer Collwyn Craig will start off the festivities at 1pm with a stunning rendition of Oh Canada! So come early. Afterwards, Busan musicians such as Chris Tharp, Soon-su, and David Khimasia will treat the crowd to some original tunes and Canadian covers. The event is BYO-Everything. There will be garbage and recycling bags provided. It will be moved to Starface if it is raining.
Also, leaked exclusively to the Busan Haps, Canadian comedian Brian Aylward, who is performing in town on Friday and Saturday nights, will drop some jokes at the Madang!
