The Dongcheon Gingko Tree Street Flea Market has about 50 booths.
Featuring about 50 booths offering an array of handmade products, the Dongcheon Gingko Tree Street Flea Market is held every weekend from April through December.
Located at the intersection of Seomyeon, Busan’s central downtown district, and Jeonpo-dong, home of the trendy Jeonpo Cafe Street area, this market stretches about 120 meters, from NC Department Store to Norimaru, the former Jungang Middle School.
The Dongcheon Gingko Tree Street Flea Market offers unique ambience created by the many roadside ginkgo trees that give the market its name. Items for sale include handmade silver earrings, leather bracelets, pouches, soap and fun caricature drawings made just for you.
The Dongcheon market offers different seasonal themes throughout the year, such as a night market in the summer and their popular autumn leaves festival in the fall.
The market debuted in 2015 and has been praised for its accessibility and variety. Grab a coffee or tea from one of the many fine Jeonpo Cafe Street shops nearby and enjoy.
Hours: noon to 6 p.m. every weekend; later hours are offered during July and August.
How to get there: Seomyeon Station (Metro lines 1 and 2), exit 6. Make a u-turn and turn right onto the next main road. Walk straight along the road and cross at the intersection toward the NC Department Store. Turn right and walk until you see the market.
