BUSAN, South Korea -- The heat wave will subside, starting the middle of this week, especially on the 22nd. The Busan Regional Meteorological Administration said that the cool easterly wind, which will start blowing tomorrow, will lower the high temperature by 1-2 degrees to around 30 degrees, a level that will dismiss the heat wave warning.

The city said that the long, dragging drought has caused much damage to trees, raising the emergency water supply level from ‘normal’ to ‘serious’.

The city also plans to launch a civic movement of watering street trees.

The city asked its citizens to take care of the plants and trees around their houses and apartments.
