BUSAN, South Korea — The heat wave will subside, starting the middle of this week, especially on the 22nd. The Busan Regional Meteorological Administration said that the cool easterly wind, which will start blowing tomorrow, will lower the high temperature by 1-2 degrees to around 30 degrees, a level that will dismiss the heat wave warning.
Between the afternoons on Thursday, the 22nd, and the 24th, the rain will cool down the scorching weather. The city of Busan is also going to make an effort to keep its greenery from the scorching heat wave and drought.
The city said that the long, dragging drought has caused much damage to trees, raising the emergency water supply level from ‘normal’ to ‘serious’.
The city also plans to launch a civic movement of watering street trees.
The city asked its citizens to take care of the plants and trees around their houses and apartments.
