City to Carry Out Building Inspections After Child Care Center Roof Collapses

BUSAN, South Korea — The roof of a Seo-gu Municipal Child Care Center in Busan collapsed April 26th, leading the city of Busan to investigate the safety of other child care centers around the city.

The accident occurred due to standing water on the ceiling causing the ceiling to sag and eventually collapse, though luckily there were no casualties in the accident.

A Busan official stated it would conduct a safety inspection on all 1,800 Busan child care facilities.
