BUSAN, South Korea -- A new study released by the city of Busan shows the number of people using city bus services increased after three consecutive years of declining ridership. 

According to the report, 1.4 million used city bus services on average daily, a 1.5 percent increase over 2012 totals. 

On average, village bus service had a 258,000 average daily ridership, a five-thousand person increase. 

The report shows that 25.6% of all trips in the city are by bus, a 0.2% increase over the previous year.
