The 19th Busan International Film Festival selected Korean actor Cho Jin-woong and actress Moon Jeong-hee as hosts for the Closing Ceremony. On October 11 at the Busan Cinema Center, Cho and Moon will announce the grand finale of the 10 days of festival.
Rising film actor Cho has featured in many Korean films. He starred in very successful Korean films this year, A Hard Day, KUNDO: Age of the Rampant, and ROARING CURRENTS, which will be screened for the Korean Cinema Today-Panorama section at the Busan International Film Festival. He recently acted in director Jin Jang’s to-be-released film We Are Brothers, and he is currently filming director Je-kyu Kang’s new film Jang Soo Sang Hui, and director Dong-hoon Choi’s new film Assassination.
Actress Moon Jeong-hee, gained attention through drama Alone in Love (2006). She has been actively working across films and dramas acting various roles. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 33rd Blue Dragon Awards in 2012. She starred in the Hide and Seek (2013) which had satisfactory box office results. She is currently acting in drama Mama, and her film Cart is invited to the Busan International Film Festival’s Open Cinema section, to be screened at the Busan Cinema Center outdoor theater.
The 19th Busan International Film Festival Closing Ceremony will be held in the evening of October 11 at the Busan Cinema Center outdoor theater. Closing film Gangster Pay Day by director Lee Po Cheung will be screened after the closing ceremony.
