China Executes South Korean Drug Smugglers

China executed today another South Korean convicted of smuggling and selling drugs, only a day after it executed two other South Korean citizens for similar charges.

The 56-year old executed today, identified as Jang, was arrested in 2009 and sentenced to death on charges of smuggling 11 kilograms of methamphetamine from China and selling them. He was convicted by a court in Qingdao city, Shandong Province.

Chinese authorities executed yesterday two South Korean convicts identified as Kim, 53, and Baek, 45, for smuggling and selling drugs. They were convicted by a court in Baishan city, Jilin Province.

China has so far executed five South Korean convicts.
