BUSAN, South Korea -- Busan residents got to see the 2014 New Year Sunrise Festival all over the city, including Haeundae Beach. 

Three-hundred-thousand people gathered at the Haeundae New Year Festival held at the Beach, which was this morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. 

Events at the festival included flying hope balloons, a helicopter celebration flight and residents swimming in the ocean around seven-thirty-two am, the time of the sunrise. 

Tens of thousands of people also flocked to Gwangan Bridge, to see the first sun of the year. 

Other New Year Festivals around the city prayed for peace and good health for this year, including Geumjeong Mountain, Jang Mountain and Songjeong Beach.
