BUSAN, South Korea - As of December 1st, smoking in public places will result in a fine. The city government has enacted new laws in accordance with other cities around the country in an attempt to cut down smoking, as well as preserving citizen's health.
Public places where smoking is now prohibited include bus stops, beaches, children's parks, Geumgang park, and Taejongdae amusement park.
Violator's of the new law will face a 20,000 won fine.

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA - Busan e-FM, the city's first English radio broadcasting station, FM 90.5, launched smartphone applications for the Android and iPhone in September 2011.
The smartphone apps provide a variety of content including news, music, weather and entertainment. The app users can listen to live broadcasts, as well as previously aired programs.
To find the Busan e-FM application, search for “BEFM” in the Android Market or the App Store, and download and install the app.
BUSAN - The Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO), which has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past 10 years, will mark the beginning of a new era with the opening of the 2nd Exhibition Hall and the hosting of the Busan International Motor Show (BIMOS). The new hall will open in time for the BIMOS, which will take place over 11 days starting May 24.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - The BFIA is currently visiting Dubai from October 22 to 30, with the Busan Metropolitan Dance Company, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Busan's sister city relationship with Dubai.
The celebration will include a Korean Culture week, a Busan promotion photo exhibition, and a traditional Korean dance performance.
Busan Metropolitan Dance Company will perform a traditional dance several times at Dubai City Hall and in Ras al-Khaimah, for both local people and Koreans living in Dubai.
