Busan established a sisterhood relationship with Casablanca at the City Hall of Morocco's largest city at 9am (local time) on April 26 in a ceremony attended by Mayor Hur, Nam-sik of Busan and Mayor Mohamed Sajid of Casablanca. With this, Casablanca has become Busan's 24th sister city. Both mayors put their signatures to the written agreement confirming their intention to cooperate in various fields such as the economy, culture, tourism, sports, education and private exchanges. They promised to collaborate with each other to achieve co-prosperity in both cities.
After that, a delegation consisting of Mayor Hur and officials and councilors from Busan visited the groundbreaking ceremony for Morocco's new automobile vocational training center. The construction of the training center has been supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to the tune of 6 million dollars.
