BUSAN, South Korea -- A new survey shows that the number of population of Busan over 15 years old was 2,955,000 people as of the end of March, which was increased by 0.4% compared to the same month of last year. 

According to Dongnam Local Statistical Office, the economically active population was 1,693,000 people, which was a decrease by 130,000. 

The number of women and men was 712,000 people and 981,000 in a row, which was a decrease of 6000 and 7000 people compared to the same month of last year. 

The economic activity rate was 57.3 percent, which was decreased by 0.7 percent compared to the same month of last year but increased by 0.2 percent from the previous month. The economically non-active population was 1,262,000 people, which was increased by 26000 compared to the same month of last year.
